Posted on December 9, 2009 by adminNo Comments

The Caps have been red-hot as of late and look to continue their roll right past the slumping Sabres. The Sabres Ryan Miller may have something to say about that, he leads the league in Save Percentage and Goals Against, but he will be facing a potent lineup with Ovechkin back in the lineup.

Posted on November 19, 2009 by adminNo Comments

This is the second meeting between these Western Conference powerhouses, the first one was one the Flames would most likely like to forget. Both teams enter tonights game with nearly identical statistics, the Blackhawks sit on top of the Central division and the Flames on the heals of the Avalanche for the conference lead in the Northwest division.

Who’s hot – Rumor has it Kane is one of three young players on the verge of signing a long-term extension with Chicago; if his recent performance is any indication, it will be money well spent. In addition to his three-game goal streak, Kane has at least one point in seven straight games and 10 of his last 11. For Calgary, Iginla looks as strong as ever, scoring eight goals in his last seven games.

Canadians, Bruins Original Six Matchup.

Posted on November 5, 2009 by adminNo Comments

Both teams have a few things in common;

1) both are looking to get their season on track
2) both are trying to find their identities. The bruins have lost Savard to injury, Kessel to Toronto and Kobasew to Minnesota – that’s 82 goals missing from their lineup. The Habs lineup has completely turned over from a year ago, new faces include; Cammalleri, Gionta, Gomez and Bergeron, a recent UFA signing to help a struggling backend.

Who’s hot – With the B’s offensive struggles, no one has been particularly hot, but Patrice Bergeron leads with eight points. Vladimir Sobotka and Blake Wheeler had a goal and assist each in last Saturday’s 2-0 win over the Oilers. While Boston has lost two in a row, Thomas was solid in allowing only three goals.

With each having picked up a goal on Tuesday, Tomas Plekanec and Mike Cammalleri are still tied for the Habs’ lead in points with 14. Scott Gomez and Brian Gionta, who had a pair of goals on Tuesday, follow with 10 points each.

Two Teams On The Slide …

Posted on November 3, 2009 by adminNo Comments
